VIDEO. Emotional Footage from Artsakh: How 20 Citizens Reunited with Their Families After a Long Hiatus

Today, through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross, 20 citizens from Artsakh were transferred from Goris to Stepanakert. Our colleagues from Artsakh have prepared a video showing how families reunite after a long break.

These individuals are from split families who have been waiting in Armenia for nearly two months due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan. Considering the difficult situation in these families, the humanitarian mission, acting as a neutral mediator, facilitated their reunion.

“As soon as I breathed our air, I felt very good. We are not going anywhere; we will stay here until the end,” said Flora Mejlumyan, one of the returnees from Artsakh, in an interview with “Or Luravakan.” “We have been waiting for about two months, and I think there's no need to talk about feelings,” she added.
