In the footage circulated, rescuers and civilian volunteers are seen joyfully pulling people from the debris, accompanied by cheers and applause.

It is important to note that at least 1,832 people have died and 3,894 have been injured in Syria. Rescuers from the White Helmets organization say that these numbers are far from final.
