Turkish Trucks to Pass Through 'Verin Lars' Checkpoint Without Queues

Turkish trucks will be able to pass through the 'Verin Lars' checkpoint without waiting in line. This was announced today by Sergei Menyailo, the head of North Ossetia.

“A terrible natural disaster has occurred in Turkey. Now everyone has united to help those affected by the earthquake. We have decided to allow Turkish trucks to pass through 'Verin Lars' without queues. I believe this is the right thing to do,” he wrote on Telegram.

Menyailo also reported that, according to the regional center for traffic organization, there are currently about 2,300 heavy trucks in the electronic queue heading toward the state border. Approximately 20% of them are heading to Turkey.

Menyailo stated, “We will organize a 'green corridor' for them.”
