Evaluate the Work of Armenian Rescuers and Say Thank You: Georgian Poet Rebukes Turks and Azerbaijanis

Georgian poet and journalist Levan Tsulukgelashvili has commented on the assistance provided by Armenian rescuers to Turkey, which has been affected by an earthquake, stating:
“Turks and Azerbaijanis must remember this photo well. We hope they will remember, and that tomorrow they won’t remove the domes from Christian churches, nor will they desecrate monuments, khachkars, and graves.”

The journalist recalled that the actions of Azerbaijan have forced Armenians resettled from Artsakh to exhume the bones of their deceased relatives from their graves and take them with them.
“The victims of war and those lost in natural disasters are no different. Today, these Armenian rescuers are my number one heroes in the entire Caucasus. Yes, Georgians are heroes too, but these people are the primary heroes. Because the body of the Armenian soldier barbarically tortured by the Turks and Azerbaijanis has not yet frozen. Because I have seen with my own eyes and have footage of how they mock a little boy who touches his father's grave. Because there is immense pain in the hearts of these people, and today they help an enemy that has been trying to annihilate them from the day of the genocide until now.”

He continued, “Because during the Nagorno-Karabakh war, there was complete silence. No one pitied the children and elderly killed there, the eighteen or nineteen-year-old boys, simply because they believe that this land belongs to Azerbaijan. How can that be?”

He called on Azerbaijanis and Turks to appreciate the work of Armenian rescuers and to thank them, as it only takes one tremor to bring down a stone upon stone.
