Intense Snowfall Expected as Active Cyclone Enters Armenia
Due to the penetration of an active cyclone from the Mediterranean Sea, snowfall is expected across much of the republic on February 6 and 7. Intense snowfall is anticipated in Shirak, Lori, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk regions.
This information has been reported by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In mountain areas, blizzards are expected, along with low horizontal visibility and icy roads. In the Ararat Plain and Yerevan, snow is forecasted during the night and morning of February 5-6, followed by wet snow and rain mixed with snow on February 6 afternoon and 7.
Starting from February 8, the intensity of the cyclone will gradually weaken.
