Have They Caught the Driver of the 'Hamere'? Police Confirm His Identity, What We Know
The Police of the Republic of Armenia has released information regarding the incident that took place today at Republic Square.
“On February 10, around 23:00, a driver of a 'Hamere' brand vehicle grossly violated traffic rules in downtown Yerevan, refused to comply with lawful demands of the police, and carried out dangerous actions towards police officers and citizens, posing a threat to their lives and health.
To stop the vehicle's movement, firearms were used to target the tires. The identity of the driver has been confirmed, and appropriate measures are being taken.

It should be noted that an incident occurred today in the center of Yerevan, where police pursued a 'Hamere' vehicle, during which gunshots were fired, and the police managed to puncture the vehicle's tires.
“In the video, police are seen cutting in front of the 'Hamere' as it crosses the center of the square, approaching the vehicle, but they are unable to apprehend the driver. Moments later, the vehicle manages to escape from the police and drives from Republic Square toward Tigran Mets Street. Taking a left turn onto Agatangeghos Street, the 'Hamere' enters a nearby alley, and the driver abandons the vehicle and flees. The license plate of the vehicle had fallen onto the sidewalk during the confrontation with the police cars at Republic Square,” reports 'Hetq'.
