Student Attacks Classmates with Axe and Knife in Kazakhstan

In a school in the city of Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan, a 9th-grade student attacked three classmates with an axe and a knife. The attacker has been arrested, reports Readovka.

The 9th-grade student arrived at school in the morning armed with the axe and knife, concealed in the restroom. He then emerged into the corridor and injured three children, two boys and one girl, all of whom are in the 9th and 10th grades.

The victims are conscious and currently hospitalized with lacerations and stab wounds to their heads and forearms. According to the Education Department, there is no professional security at the school.

The 9th grader, who is reportedly registered in a psychiatric registry, has already been apprehended, and an investigation has been launched on charges of attempted murder.
