Upper Lars is Open for All Types of Vehicles

The road through the "Upper Lars" is open for all types of vehicles. This information was reported by the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

Since February 5, the road through "Upper Lars" had been closed for cargo vehicles, and by the evening of February 9, traffic was restored only for light passenger vehicles.

"After the cleaning works on the Gudauri-Kobi section, traffic has been restored, including for trucks and semi-trailers," the statement said.

Earlier, Vahan Hakobyan, a customs attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Russia, reported that more than 1,000 Armenian cargo trucks were waiting in line for traffic from Georgia to Russia and vice versa.
