Switzerland Denies Spain's Request to Transfer Missile Systems to Ukraine

Switzerland has blocked Spain from transferring missile systems to Ukraine. In Geneva, the law was discussed that prohibits the re-export of military equipment to countries experiencing internal or international armed conflict.

According to Reuters, in January, Spanish authorities requested permission from Switzerland to transfer two 35 mm anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. Switzerland has remained neutral in any armed conflict for over a century, but recently, authorities in the country are facing pressure from their citizens who are increasingly inclined to lift existing restrictions.
