CSTO Countries to Conduct Nuclear and Radiation Safety Exercises
The member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will conduct the "Cliff 2023" exercises focused on nuclear and radiation safety. This was reported by TASS, citing Belarusian Minister of Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavski's statement during an interview with Belarus-1 television.
The emergency units of the CSTO member states will participate in the exercises scheduled for September 2023.
It is noteworthy that during a speech in the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the suspension of Russia's participation in the treaty on measures for further reduction and limitation of strategic offensive weapons. He also ordered readiness for the initiation of nuclear tests.
