Moscow Does Not Refuse Tripartite Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia
Moscow does not refuse the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov during a press conference dedicated to current issues on the international agenda, as reported by News.ru.
According to him, Russia will take advantage of this opportunity. "The issue of organizing the meeting is being worked on, and we are not refusing it. We will use this opportunity," emphasized Ryabkov.
It is worth mentioning that Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had stated his willingness to organize a meeting with his Russian and Azerbaijani counterparts, Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov. According to him, Armenia did not cancel the foreign ministers' meeting in Moscow but postponed it and intends to take advantage of a more suitable moment.
Recall that last December, the impossibility of the meeting was due to the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan.
The Russian side has stated that it is ready to hold a phase of negotiations in Moscow regarding a peace treaty draft between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
