Large Fire at Maralik Garment Factory Consumes 20 Tons of Raw Material
A fire broke out in the city of Maralik. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this incident.
On February 9, at 05:42 AM, the Shirak regional crisis management center received an alert that a fire had erupted in the cotton storage room of a garment factory in Maralik.
Three firefighting teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Regional Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire ignited in the preparatory workshop of the LLC "ARTIK PHC" cotton-manufacturing factory located on Gagarin Street (approximately 900 square meters).
The fire was contained by 08:15 AM and extinguished by 15:43 PM. In the preparatory workshop, the filter panel, accumulated raw material (about 20 tons), fabric waste (around 5 tons), and approximately 3 cubic meters of cotton piled in a bunker were burned.
