Death Toll from Earthquake in Turkey Exceeds 17,000
The death toll from the earthquake that struck Turkey has exceeded 17,000, with more than 70,000 people injured. This information was reported by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
As of 20:50, the number of casualties stands at 17,134, and the number of injured at 70,347.
Additionally, over 30,000 people have been evacuated from the disaster-stricken areas to other regions of the country.
It is important to note that a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in Turkey during the night of February 6. Residents of Syria have also been affected by the devastating impact.
