Avanesyan on the Condition of Soldiers Affected by Fire and the Organization of Patient Transfers from Artsakh to Armenia

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, addressing the situation in Artsakh created by the closure of the Lachin corridor, reported that they are in constant contact with their colleagues there.

Patient transfers to Armenia are organized as necessary and possible. "So far, 77 patients have been transferred to Yerevan and received medical assistance. I cannot say that this is a simple and easy process, but we are deploying all resources to ensure that patients who need specialized medical care are transferred to Yerevan," she stated.

Avanesyan also spoke about the health condition of soldiers who were burned in the military unit fire, saying that the boys’ condition is assessed as normal. "The treatment process is progressing favorably. As I mentioned, the recovery process is lengthy because treatment must be carried out in several stages—surgical, then cosmetic surgery. Everything is going well, and the progress is normal," she noted.

In a briefing with journalists, referring to sending rescue teams to Turkey after the earthquake near the Turkey-Syria border, Avanesyan emphasized: "Humanitarian assistance from Armenia highlights the importance and necessity of such measures."
