China to Provide Over $4 Million in Aid to Syria

China will send 30 million yuan (approximately $4.4 million) in humanitarian aid to Syria to combat the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, stated at a press briefing on Wednesday.
According to RIA Novosti, he said, "The Chinese government has decided to provide 30 million yuan (about $4.4 million) in humanitarian assistance to support the Syrian government and people."
