A Bottle of Vodka Story: Man Abused in Shop, Assaulted, and Died
In the Armavir region, a 65-year-old man's body sustained multiple injuries, resulting in his death. This information has been reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
It is mentioned that on February 5, at 23:45, police responded to a call on Baghramyan Street in the Armavir region and discovered the body of a resident of the same city in one of the apartments.
An autopsy revealed numerous injuries on different parts of the man's body, and preliminary data indicates that the cause of death was traumatic-hemorrhagic shock.
According to preliminary information obtained during the investigation, on February 5, 2023, the 65-year-old man asked for vodka in a shop and, upon being refused, began to shout obscenities. The son of the shop's employee entered and, hearing the insults, started to strike the 65-year-old man on various parts of his body. Subsequently, the shop employee and her husband took the man to their home, where they noticed shortly afterward that he was not breathing and called for an ambulance.
An investigation of the scene has been conducted, a forensic examination of the body has been commissioned, and several individuals have been questioned. A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 155 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (murder).
Necessary measures are being taken to locate the 21-year-old suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
