Following the earthquake, the sea level has risen in the İskenderun district of Turkey's Hatay province. Water has flooded the streets, as reported by Sputnik's Turkish service.

It is noted that the water has reached the level of car tires, making it difficult for drivers to navigate the roads. The traffic police are directing vehicles to alternative routes. It should be added that the water from the sea has not yet reached the houses.

More details can be found in the video.

It is reminded that the death toll from the powerful earthquake in Turkey has reached 3,549, according to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Additionally, 22,168 people have been injured. Erdoğan stated that the authorities have allocated more than $5.3 billion for the mitigation of the earthquake's aftermath.
