Drunken Man Attempts to Steal Lenin's Corpse in Russia

On the evening of February 5, a suspicious man was apprehended near Lenin's tomb in Moscow. According to Russian news outlets, he told the police that he intended to steal and take the body of the leader of the global proletariat.

Media reports indicated that law enforcement noticed the strange individual around midnight in Red Square. He was circling the tomb and, at one point, was seen trying to force open a locked door. After this, he was arrested and taken to the police station.

The man claimed that after opening the door, he planned to steal Lenin's body, but he could not explain why.

His behavior was deemed inadequate, prompting authorities to call for emergency medical assistance for psychiatric help. It was noted that the man was intoxicated.

Journalists found out that the arrested individual is a 42-year-old resident of Moscow, who had separated from his wife five years ago and works as a furniture repairman. Following the collapse of his family, he moved to a different apartment and developed an alcohol dependency. Nonetheless, he continued to stay in touch with his children, who remained with his ex-wife, and financially supported them.

Family members reported that he had very little work in recent times and spent his free time with random acquaintances.
