Blizzard and Black Ice: Snow Falling in 11 Settlements

A blizzard is sweeping through the regions of Talin, Aragats, Ashotzk, and Amasia. Snow is falling in 11 settlements.

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and the Kari Lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles.

The Spitak turns are only impassable for trailers. The Vanadzor-Dilijan road is difficult to pass for trucks.

The roads from Amasia to Eghnajur, Amasia to Berdashen, and Lanjik to Mastara (due to blizzard) are also difficult to navigate. In the roads of Aragatsotn region, there is black ice in some areas.

Snowfall is reported in the regions of Aragats, Aparan, Ashotzk, Amasia, and Baghramyan, as well as in the towns of Chambarak, Gavarr, Martuni, Spitak, Stepanavan, and Vanadzor. Blizzard conditions are noted in the regions of Talin, Aragats, Ashotzk, and Amasia (with low visibility).
