Russia Warns of Potential Conflict Between Nuclear Powers at UN
The supply of Western weapons to Kyiv, used for shelling civilian residents in Donbas, increases the likelihood of a confrontation between nuclear powers, stated the Russian delegation at a plenary session of the UN disarmament conference. This was reported by Kp.ru.
"Through the supply of weapons, training of mercenaries, and provision of intelligence information, the countries involved are creating real risks of direct military confrontation of nuclear forces as their engagement deepens in the Ukrainian military standoff," the diplomats said.
Earlier, on January 20, 2023, Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova noted that American and other Western weapons in Ukraine, along with foreign military servicing them, are legal targets for strikes by the Russian army. Zakharova clarified that if the West pretends not to know this, it is their problem.
