Attacks on Armenians in Jerusalem Were Carried Out by Extremists, Israeli Ambassador in Armenia on Jerusalem Incidents

Attacks on Armenians and the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem were carried out by several extremists, who do not represent the diverse and pluralistic Israeli society. This was stated by the Israeli Ambassador to Armenia, Joel Lion, on his Twitter page.

“These unfortunate events were carried out by a few extremists who do not in any way represent the diverse and pluralistic Israeli society. As shown by the immediate arrests of the suspects, Israel is committed to the freedom of worship for all religions,” wrote the ambassador.

A few days ago, on January 28, in Jerusalem, there was an attempt to climb the roof of the Armenian Patriarchate and remove the cross and the flags of Armenia, as well as two attacks on Armenians.
