Greek Prime Minister on Turkey's Double Game

Greek Prime Minister on Turkey's Double Game

In the context of the tense Turkish-Greek relations, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's latest statements have caught the attention of the Turkish press, as reported by Ermenihaber.

Mitsotakis addressed Turkey's involvement in the Ukrainian crisis, noting that official Ankara, as a NATO member, should take clear steps. He accused Turkey of playing a double game in the process surrounding the Ukrainian crisis.

The Greek Prime Minister pointed out that Turkey is considered a NATO member on one hand, but on the other hand, it avoids standing alongside any conflicting party. He emphasized that Turkey continues its relations with Russia.

According to Mitsotakis, in such a situation, Turkey benefits as it has economic relations with Russia while being a NATO member, a luxury that other NATO members cannot afford.
