We Hope Armenia Will Be Able to Join Regional Projects: Cavusoglu

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed hope that Armenia will be able to join regional projects in the future.

“We have initiated a trilateral-quadrilateral mechanism to take advantage of the opportunities our region presents. We had a trilateral and quadrilateral mechanism with Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iran, and recently, when the Northern Corridor ceased to be an alternative, we formed trilateral mechanisms with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan aimed at strengthening the Trans-Caspian, East-West Middle Corridor, with Azerbaijan and Turkey at the center. I hope that in the future Armenia will also be able to join us when we implement these projects. Thus, this Middle Corridor is becoming very crucial,” Çavuşoğlu mentioned during a panel discussion in Budapest.
