The commander of the unit who gave an interview to journalists has been dismissed, lawyer says

Following a fire outbreak at the stationed engineering reconnaissance battalion in the village of Azat in Gegharkunik Province, the commander of the unit who gave interviews to journalists has been dismissed from service. This was reported by his lawyer, Arsen Babayan.

“After the interview, he was dismissed the next day, in accordance with his own request. There has been significant pressure on him in terms of propaganda and removal from service,” the lawyer stated.

Babayan noted that the unit commander was interrogated once.
