We Will Do Everything to Prevent Iran from Obtaining Nuclear Weapons: Netanyahu on Meeting with Blinken
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated after a meeting in Jerusalem that he discussed strengthening the alliance against Iran with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. This was reported by TASS.
“I think there is a general consensus that this (Iranian) regime should not acquire nuclear weapons. We had an excellent discussion about formulating common policies and the attempts to work together to prevent the danger. I reiterate—the policy, my policy, is to do everything in Israel's power to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and delivery systems,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant discussed a number of issues during a phone call with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, including the threat posed by Iran regarding “its nuclear ambitions and regional aggression.”
