Hayk Konjoryan and Arthur Hovhannisyan Demand Resignations: What’s Happening in the Closed Session of the CP
The closed session of the Civil Contract faction is currently ongoing in the National Assembly. It has been reported that the main topic of the session is the initiative by faction leader Hayk Konjoryan and secretary Arthur Hovhannisyan along with their assistants.
It should be noted that the assistants of the ruling party's MPs are demanding bonuses from the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, and the head of the staff, Vahan Naribekyan. According to Armlur.am, MPs Arthur Hovhannisyan and Hayk Konjoryan have set a goal to secure these bonuses at all costs, threatening that otherwise, the head of the NA staff must resign along with his team.
Currently, this issue is under discussion within the CP. The media outlet reports that many members of parliament are in an observer status during this session, not voting because they did not realize the seriousness of the situation. They thought the topic had been coordinated with the NA leadership and that only signatures were needed.
"And now a real theater is being staged. Justice must prevail, and assistants who have not presented themselves for work must receive bonuses like state employees, although the assistants do not have the right to this," the publication states.
Among those demanding bonuses are the assistants of the following MPs:
- Hayk Konjoryan
- Arthur Hovhannisyan
- Khachatur Sukiasyan
- Maria Karapetyan
- Taghuhy Ghazaryan
- Arusyak Julakhyan
- Tsvinara Vardanian
- Zaruhi Batoyan
- Gurgen Arsenyan
- Vagharshak Hakobyan
- Vilen Gabrielyan
- Hayk Sarksyan
- Hripsime Hunanian
- Alkhas Ghazaryan
- Aren Mkrtchyan
- Emma Palyan
- Andranik Kocharyan
- Narek Grigoryan
- Vigen Khachatryan
- Gagik Melkonyan
- Hayk Tsirunyan
- Armen Khachatryan
- Karen Sarukhanyan
- and others.
All of them thought that the initiative had been approved by the faction leader and secretary with the NA President Alen Simonyan. However, Arthur Hovhannisyan and Hayk Konjoryan have brought both the faction MPs and the NA President face to face with the reality, as the site writes.
