Dedicated Bus Lanes to Be Established in Yerevan, Stop Boundaries to Be Expanded

As part of the transportation system reforms, dedicated lanes for buses are planned in Yerevan, with the streets of Myasnikyan and Gayi being considered as pilot projects.

To ensure the smooth operation of public transport with new buses, bus stop boundaries will be expanded, which will also help to avoid traffic congestion.

In the context of the established cooperation between Yerevan and Tehran, new programs will be implemented. Taking into account the experience of the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, an agreement has been reached to work together on the development of Yerevan's metro system.

It should be noted that Tehran's metro currently has a 250 km network, 143 operational stations, and transports about 2 million passengers daily.

In the cultural sector, the two capitals are also considering several collaborative projects.

To ensure the sanitary proper condition and cleanliness of trolleybuses and new community buses, a modern washing station for rolling stock will be installed. The station will be in Yerevan in a few days.

Installation work on solar photovoltaic stations on the roofs of municipal buildings has been completed. This program will allow for about a 30% reduction in energy consumption. The saved funds will be directed toward solving issues raised by residents.

The community plans to initiate a process to replace semi-living and non-valuable trees. To provide a professionally justified approach to the issue, a conference with scientists in the field will be convened, and an action plan will be developed collaboratively.
