Decisions Must Be Made Cautiously: Iranian Parliament Speaker to Baku
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has urged the Azerbaijani authorities to refrain from making emotional decisions regarding the recent attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran. This was reported by Mehr.
“Any decision that could have long-term consequences must be made cautiously,” emphasized Qalibaf, adding that Iran deeply regrets the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. He also noted that the country is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
According to him, no evidence has been found during the investigation to classify the incident as terrorism.
It is important to recall that on January 27, the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran was subjected to an armed attack. A man armed with a firearm attacked the embassy in Tehran, resulting in the death of the head of security services, while two guards of the diplomatic mission were injured. The perpetrator has been arrested.
