Six Patients Transferred from Artsakh to Armenia
Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, six patients have been transferred from the Republic Medical Center of the Ministry of Health of Artsakh with diagnoses including "Dysplastic Erythema, Pseudomonas Infection, Interatrial Septal Defect", "Urolithiasis, Left Hydronephrosis", "Urolithiasis, Status Post Left Ureteral Stenting and Lithotripsy with Multiple Stones, Chronic Pyelonephritis, Right Kidney Stone", "Pulmonary Sarcoidosis", "Primary Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma of the Mediastinum with cervical, paratracheal, hilar, paraaortal, and axillary lymphatic involvement", and "Status Post Hemangioblastoma Resection of a Mass in the Cerebellar Hemisphere with Subsequent Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Placement, Shunt Dysfunction leading to Hydrocephalus." This transfer occurred today, January 29, with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross to various specialized medical centers in Armenia.
Planed surgeries continue to be suspended in the medical facilities operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.
Currently, eight children are in the neonatal and intensive care departments of the "Arevik" medical center.
At the Republican Medical Center, 12 patients are in intensive care, five of whom are in extremely critical condition.
To date, a total of 55 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
