Roads Closed in Armenia: Emergency Situations Ministry Issues Warning

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station towards the Amberd fortress and the Kar lake are closed. There are instances of black ice on the roads of Aragatsotn.

In the Armavir region, snow is reported in the cities of Abovyan, Yeghvard, Masis, Ararat, Vedi, Talin, Aragats, Ashtarak, Aparan, and Artik.

Regarding the Lars route, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
