Two Tourist Buses Involved in Accident in Turkey: Citizenship of Passengers Revealed

Today, an accident involving a tourist bus occurred in the central province of Niğde, Turkey, resulting in injuries to at least 12 foreigners, according to DHA.

The tourist minibus collided with a guardrail on a highway near the village of Gesterli around 10:30 local time for unknown reasons. “The driver, the tour guide, and 12 tourists from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Argentina were injured in the accident,” reported the agency.

It was noted that around the same time, another tourist minibus overturned on the highway near the village of Aktaş, resulting in the death of a 59-year-old passenger, with another 27 people injured. The driver has been detained by police while the circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
