Zakharova on Organizing Negotiations Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministries

Russia confirms its readiness to organize negotiations between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan under the patronage of Lavrov. This was announced during a press briefing by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to her, the periodic difficulties that arise on the ground should not be a reason for 'freezing' the negotiation process and the normalization of relations between the countries. 'It is necessary to resume negotiations as soon as possible through all available channels. Moscow has informed Yerevan and Baku about its readiness to organize a meeting,' she stated.

Regarding the situation in the Lachin corridor, Zakharova noted that the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian peacekeepers, and the Foreign Ministry are in constant contact with the parties involved.
