In Eritrea, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was ceremoniously welcomed near a monument dedicated to Alexander Pushkin. The video was published by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry was received with great enthusiasm, in a traditional spirit and through dance. “While the so-called civilized people in Ukraine are destroying the monuments of the great poet, the African continent honors the memory of a global genius,” she stated.
