Video: Don't Let Us Sell Our Homes and Go Abroad. 'Malatia' Market Ceases Operations from Today

Employees of the 'Malatia' market gathered today, February 1, in the market area to stage a protest. They are opposing the decision to close the market. It is noteworthy that by the decision of the head of the Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate, the family market 'Raphael-Tatev,' commonly known as 'Malatia,' is closing starting today, February 1.

The reasons related to the market's closure pertain to fire safety issues. The market workers are dissatisfied with this decision; they are at a loss as to what to do. One of the employees stated, 'It is necessary to think correctly, every hour is crucial for us, the banks are holding our money. We are all under loans. People have even brought goods from abroad without payment, and now they have to put their homes up for collateral to send that money back. We want to work here because the management has our back; do not let us sell our homes and go abroad.'
