The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has urged the German Ambassador Geza Andreas von Geir to clarify his country's position regarding participation in the Ukraine conflict.

On January 24, during a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that European countries are 'at war with Russia' and called on European nations to do more for Ukraine and not to look for culprits among themselves.

Meanwhile, the German Foreign Ministry has stated that supporting Ukraine does not make Germany a party to the conflict. 'Do they even understand what they are talking about? The German Foreign Minister claims that her country is at war with Russia, along with other countries. The same ministry does not consider its country to be a party to the conflict. Given these contradictory statements, the German ambassador in Russia should clarify them,' wrote Zakharova on her Telegram channel.
