Where did the leaders of the former USSR countries receive their education? Sputnik agency has gathered information regarding the higher education of these leaders and presented it in a single image. Notably, Russian President Vladimir Putin is not included in the list of leaders.

It is worth mentioning that Putin studied at the Law Faculty of Leningrad State University (now Saint Petersburg State University) in the international relations department from 1970 to 1975. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan studied journalism in the Faculty of Philology at Yerevan State University. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev entered the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1977. Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies in 1972.
