Ohanyan Cannot Access the Motion-Accusation, It Was Sent to the Parliament Confidentially: Khamoyan
The chief prosecutor of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, has sent one of the three motions to strip Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the 'Hayastan' faction, of his immunity to the parliament in a confidential manner. This information was shared by Agnesa Khamoyan, a member of the 'Hayastan' faction, on her Facebook page.
It was previously reported that Anna Vardapetyan had submitted three motions to the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, to sanction criminal prosecution against Seyran Ohanyan, the former Minister of Defense of Armenia.
Khamoyan stated, “I myself reviewed this in the secret section of the National Assembly yesterday, as I have the clearance for confidentiality. The absurdity is that Seyran Ohanyan, who is directly related to the accusation, cannot access the motion-accusation because he has been denied clearance. We are talking about the former Minister of Defense of Armenia and Artsakh, who had access to highly classified information.”
According to her, it is also likely that the National Assembly session will be closed, meaning that Seyran Ohanyan, due to not having clearance to access confidential materials, will be unable to participate in the session directly related to him.
It is also noteworthy that Vardapetyan has submitted a motion to the President of the National Assembly for criminal prosecution against another 'Hayastan' faction member, Armen Charghyan.
