Oligarch Who Bought 'Golden Palace' and Hovik Abrahamyan's Villa Visits Parliament

According to the newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak', yesterday oligarch Narek Nalbandyan, a close associate of the government, visited the parliament. Our journalist encountered the businessman near the entrance of the National Assembly, escorted by a group of bodyguards. The SUVs that brought him to the parliament were parked in the second lane, violating traffic regulations.

The parliamentary president's office assured that the recently minted oligarch did not meet with Alen Simonyan.

It is worth recalling that Nalbandyan is the businessman who purchased the villa of former National Assembly president Hovik Abrahamyan and acquired the 'Golden Palace' hotel in Tsaghkadzor for 5 billion drams, which previously belonged to former customs chief Armen Avetisyan, who later donated it to the state. Before entering the business sector, Narek Nalbandyan was a regular investigator and had close ties with previous administrations. He is currently involved in the production of flour, eggs, and fish feed.
