Karen Khachanov Comments on His Post Supporting Artsakh

Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov, representing Russia, has commented on his post supporting Artsakh after his last two matches at the Australian Open.

“I have said many times that I respect and cherish my roots. I am a citizen of Russia and represent Russia, but I have Armenian blood from both my father and mother. I wanted to somehow support and give them hope, strength,” Khachanov is quoted by a correspondent of Sports.ru.

It is noteworthy that Khachanov exited the quarterfinals of the Australian Open yesterday. After the match, he again made a statement on camera expressing his support for Artsakh. Khachanov wrote on the camera, “Keep believing all the way until the end! Artsakh Stay Strong.” He had made a similar post after his previous match as well.
