The 2027 European Championship in gymnastics will take place in Yerevan. This was announced by the Armenian Gymnastics Federation. Under the high patronage of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, thanks to the efforts of the president of the Armenian Gymnastics Federation, Gagik Vanoyan, and his team, the European Championship in artistic gymnastics for men and women will be held in Yerevan in 2027.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Karen Giloyan, considers the decision to host the 2027 European Championship in gymnastics in Yerevan to be a significant achievement. “This accomplishment is the result of several months of work. The initiative belongs to the president of the gymnastics federation. Everything was done by the government and the federation to reach this success. This is a very important event. Gymnastics is currently advancing at a great pace and is one of the strongest sports. We just need to maintain this momentum,” Giloyan said in an interview with Armenpress.

He assured that by 2027, the new gym named after Albert Azaryan will be ready, and the championship will be held at the Sports and Concert Complex. “One of the most important aspects is that we will acquire the latest equipment that will serve the development of the sport for many years to come,” he added.
