About 20 Individuals Questioned in Connection with Tragic Fire Incident

The process of identifying the bodies of 15 servicemen who died in a fire at the barracks of the engineer-sapper battalion of the Armenian Ministry of Defense located in the village of Azat in Gegharkunik has been completed. Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, informed "News" that the process of handing over the bodies to the parents has begun.

As part of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the incident, no individual has the status of a suspect or accused. According to Gor Abrahamyan, an active investigation is underway, during which around twenty individuals have been questioned and numerous documents have been seized.
