Photos: Defense Ministry Comments on Images Circulating Online

Telegram channels have shared photos that illustrate the deplorable condition of combat posts. According to circulating information, the images were taken in the Syunik region.

Auroranews.am contacted Aram Torosyan, the spokesperson for the Defense Ministry. The spokesperson noted that the Ministry is currently conducting investigations into the photos to verify their authenticity.

We also inquired whether the Defense Minister and the Chief of General Staff visited the military settlement in Azat village, where a fire broke out. The spokesperson stated, “By the Minister's directive, numerous representatives and high-ranking military officials of the Defense Ministry have visited the site of the incident.”

To a clarifying question about whether the Minister personally went to the site of the tragic fire, the spokesperson indicated that the visit will be addressed in an official statement from the Ministry. Thus, it remains unclear if the Minister has gone or not.
