Rice Removed from State Reserves Due to Taste and Smell Issues: Artsakh Information Center Appeals to Citizens
The Artsakh Information Center has issued a notice regarding the unfit use of stored rice.
The announcement states: “Based on complaints from the public and observations conducted by the Artsakh State Revenue Committee, the State Inspection Management Committees, and the Public Services and Economic Competition Regulatory Commission, it has been revealed that one type of rice supplied to commercial entities from the Artsakh state reserves since January 20, 2023, has been found to have taste and smell issues. Last night, the State Inspection Management Committee separated the remaining stock in warehouses, conducted sampling, and sent it to a food testing laboratory.
The supply of this particular type of rice to shops has been prohibited, and rice already supplied has been recalled from the market for replacement purposes. Consumers who have already purchased rice with such issues can return it to the respective stores to receive their receipts and money back, using the same receipts to purchase quality rice instead.”
