Selling Goods Above 15% Price with Coupons Will Be Considered a Violation, Warns Artsakh

The Public Services and Economic Competition Regulatory Commission of Artsakh has announced: "According to the decision No. 9-N of the Government of the Republic of Artsakh dated January 13, 2023, a special procedure for the sale and purchase of certain types of food products has been established. According to this procedure, starting from January 20, 2023, economic entities operating in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh are required to sell macaroni, rice, buckwheat, sugar, and oil exclusively through food acquisition coupons.

Considering the above and based on the instruction of the head of the operational headquarters regarding the monitoring of the food sales process with coupons, the Public Services and Economic Competition Regulatory Commission of Artsakh warns economic entities that applying a markup of more than 15% on goods sold with coupons will be considered a violation of the principles of fairness, honesty, justice, and impartiality between economic entities and consumers (Article 11 of the Law on Protection of Economic Competition).

Entities that exhibit such behavior, in addition to being held accountable according to the law, will also be deprived of further supplies of goods.

Consumers are urged to call the Commission's hotline at 047 95 95 55 in case they encounter prices higher than those indicated below, and the Operational Headquarters hotline at 119.”

Selling goods above 15% price with coupons will be considered a violation.
