Who is the new German Minister of Defense?
It has become known who the new German Minister of Defense will be. According to a publication by Spiegel, the head of the ministry will be Boris Pistorius, the Minister of the Interior of the federal state of Lower Saxony and a party ally of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
He will replace Christine Lambrecht, who resigned the day before.
It is noteworthy that earlier the German newspaper Bild reported that the Minister of Defense, Christine Lambrecht, who had faced criticism in recent months regarding the state of the German armed forces' material and technical base, decided to resign.
