Commander Detonates Grenade at Belgorod Military Base: Casualties Reported
In the Belgorod region, a commander has detonated a grenade within the military unit, resulting in a fire, TASS reports, citing emergency services.
According to preliminary information, at least ten people have been injured. The explosion ignited a fire, which was extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Data from the Telegram channel 112 indicates that the explosion of the RGD-5 grenade occurred in the unit's territory, carried out by the squad commander on January 14.
“On January 14, the squad commander, a senior sergeant, detonated the RGD-5 grenade. The area of the fire reached 450 square meters. According to preliminary data, 3 servicemen have died, 16 have been injured, and another 8 are missing. A criminal case has been initiated,” the report states.
