Armenians Die in Tbilisi Elevator Fall: Incident Occurred Before Their 4-Year-Old Son

In the Vazisubani residential area of Tbilisi, a man fell into an elevator shaft, and when his wife attempted to help him, the elevator was operational at that moment, resulting in both of their deaths. This was reported by Sputnik Georgia.

The Georgian publication 'Resonance Daily' states that the deceased individuals are 36-year-old Arman Sarkisov and 32-year-old Armine Voskanyan. The tragedy took place before the eyes of their 4-year-old son on January 14.

Just five days prior to the incident, Sarkisov had shared a news report on social media about victims of another elevator fall in Tbilisi.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched a criminal case for violating construction or other work safety regulations that resulted in the deaths of two or more people.

Residents blame the city authorities for the incident, claiming that the elevator had long exceeded its operational lifespan and was in an emergency state. However, officials insist that no one had approached them with a request to repair the elevator.
