“This is a heartless and cowardly act”: Rishi Sunak on Iranian authorities

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, condemned the execution of former Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Alireza Akbari. He expressed that he is shocked by the death of the British-Iranian citizen.

“This is a heartless and cowardly act carried out by a barbaric regime that disregards the rights of its own people,” Sunak wrote on his Twitter microblog.

It is worth noting that Akbari was executed in Iran after being found guilty of espionage for Britain.
