Second Month of Blockade Begins in Artsakh: Calls to Endure are Absurd and Cruel, Says Hakobyan
Artsakh's "Justice" faction member, MP Metakse Hakobyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “For 44 days, I did not capture any ‘military’ footage, but the war ‘embraced’ my body, wrapped my soul, and took root in my heart. Even now, I search for life beyond the closed shop doors and empty streets. And LIFE EXISTS... it is everywhere in ARTSAKH... it is only in ARTSAKH... here the boys do not wear earrings, there are no girls with shaved heads; everything here is pure and crystal-clear ARMENIAN... The second month of the blockade has ‘begun’ in ARTSAKH. The calls to endure are absurd and cruel because to endure means to accept it, to weaken... We are not enduring because endurance means adapting. We are waiting because this is a fight... THE ONE WHO FIGHTS WITH PATIENCE WILL PREVAIL... THE ONE WHO FIGHTS WITH PATIENCE WILL SURVIVE...”
It should be noted that Azerbaijani “environmentalists” have blocked the Lachin corridor since December 12. The closure of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia has created a humanitarian crisis in the Republic of Artsakh. According to the command of the peacekeeping forces, the Russian side is negotiating with representatives of Azerbaijan to restore the uninterrupted movement of civilian transport.
