Azerbaijan Prevents Restoration of the Only Power Line Supplying Artsakh from Armenia
Azerbaijan is preventing emergency repair works on the section where the only high-voltage line supplying Artsakh from Armenia was damaged. This was reported by the Artsakh operational headquarters in response to an inquiry from Armenpress.
Earlier, the Artsakh information center announced that on January 9, at 14:35, an incident was recorded at the 33rd kilometer of the Goris-Stepanakert 110 kV high-voltage line, the only one supplying Artsakh from Armenia. According to equipment data, the incident occurred in the Aghavno-Berdzor section. A decision was made to implement electricity supply for the republic through local power plants, with corresponding limitations.
Based on the current situation, rolling blackouts have been implemented in the Republic starting January 10, with periodic updates available on the Artsakhenergo LLC website.
